Board of Directors
The South Central Council of Governments (SCCOG) Board of Directors serves as the governing body guiding the strategic direction and collaborative efforts of the organization. The Board is comprised of County Commissioners, City Council Members, and Mayors from member governments within Huerfano and Las Animas Counties. Each board member is appointed by their fellow commissioners or council members, ensuring a representative and cooperative leadership structure.
Together, the Board of Directors brings a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing Huerfano and Las Animas Counties. Their leadership plays a vital role in fostering intergovernmental cooperation, advancing regional priorities, and enhancing the quality of life for the communities we serve.
Meeting Schedule
The SCCOG Board of Directors meets on the third Thursday of every odd-numbered month (January, March, May, July, September, and November). If the scheduled meeting falls on Thanksgiving, the meeting is held one week earlier.
Meeting locations alternate between Huerfano and Las Animas Counties to ensure balanced regional participation and accessibility.
