"Medicaid Passengers"

The Department of Social Services must pre-authorize all Medicaid covered trips out of town, and your caseworker must be called at least three days before your trip date. If the doctor you are going to see accepts Medicaid for your appointment, we can bill Medicaid for your trip with pre-approval from the Department of Human/Social Services. Please have your doctor's name, address and phone number ready when scheduling your ride.

If you are 60 years old or older, and a registered Area Agency on Aging (AAA) member, then you are not required to pay a fare to ride SCCOG Transit. However, at the end of the month, you will receive a letter asking for a suggested contribution based on the number of trips you have taken.
